There are people here willing to help but you need to give a bit more detail in order to get helpful advice.

You say "My Internet at home works fine"

Does this mean you have a wireless router at home and your laptop can connect to your home network but will not connect to other "public access" wireless hotspots?

What specific error messages do you get when you try to connect away from the home?

What happens when you rightclick the wireless network icon in your taskbar and "View available wireless networks"

Do you have a normal wireless network card in this machine or is it one of the newer "Connect Anywhere" modem/NIC units that connect using cellphone type technology?

Thanks for your kindness :)!
I have a wireless router at home that my parents' computer can connect to the network and can go to the websites. I don't know why my laptop can't connected to any kind of network ( neither public nor private).

It doesn't have any specific error message when I try to connect to the network. When I click on the " Connect to a network", I said the laptop is connected to my home network. However, when I click on the "Network and Sharing Center", it said Unidentified Network and cannot connected to the Internet. It has a little map look like this:

My Laptop=-->Unidentified network---X---Internet

(Note: It has a little red X between the "Unidentified Network and Internet)

I don't have a wireless network card. My laptop just need to turn on the Wireless, then connect to a security-enabled network by typing in the network's passphrase. I think my laptop is one of the newer "Connect Anywhere" modem/NIC units that connect using cellphone type technology (Bluetooth you meant?) But I've never tried it before.

Oh, One more thing...I brought my laptop to Best Buy for checking to see what's going on with my laptop...They said " The wireless is not obtaining an IP Address. The wirless Issue is caused by software". They recommended me to have a Diagnostic Repair for Internet by Format the Window Vista ??!! I don't know how to :(! If that's true, do I need to backup any software of things in the hard drives? If Yes, How Could I do it?! Please show me specifically because I never done anything like this before :(! By the way, Best Buy Costs a lot of money on fixing this problem. I need to save that money for more reasonable and helpful stuffs.

Thanks In Advance.

Change your network location type to private and test to connect again. Also here is wireless adapter configuration in Vista article, you can also take a look. Hope it helps.
