You need to install your network card drivers. From a working computer, go your your computer manufactures website and download the drivers for the network card. You might also want to look in Device Manager on your computer and see if any other devices need drivers. You can transfer the drivers from the working computer to yours using a USB flash drive.

what i saved the drivers to the usb and then put them on my broken computer, when installing the drivers different error codes came up such as:

The operating system is not supported. The software will not be installed. Setup will now exit.

When downloading a different driver this error code occurs: The version is for windows vista only. For other version of windows, please use the other platform ethernet driver installer.

The last one says: The installer can not run on this platform. Please select package for your operating system.

I have no idea what they are talking about and what to do? haha please help!

I assume your desktop operating system is Windows Vista, as per your spec, because it is odd that it is saying the drivers are only suitable for Vista.

Did you go to your computer manufacturers wesbsite (drivers from elsewhere are best avoided)?

Double check to make absolutuely sure you download the right ones for your particular computer model number and for the operating system being used, Vista - if that's what you are running on your desktop PC.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

"The version is for windows vista only"

Seems like you downloaded Vista drivers instead of XP.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
