hello, i want to know how can i open port 8080 or 8090?? I have a SERVER and 5 other PC. i am on the PC4. The internet comes from the server to me. Do i have to use any program or soft to open port 8080 or??? HELP PLZZ. thanks

Need more info.

1. How does the server acces the internet (dsl, cable, t1)?

2. what type of server (proxy, http, domain controller, dhcp, dns, etc)?

3. any routers, hubs, firewalls, etc?

4. what are you doing with port 8090?

5. What are you trying to accomplsih?

The server acces to internet by ADSL. We have a HUB. No firewall. With port 8090 i want to make live audio streams and Live webcam with webcamxp PRO. can you help me to open 8080 or 8090 PORT???

ok, now i that i understand what you are trying to do, shouldnt be a major problem.

explain what is make/model of your adsl router? theses streams are for inter or intranet? is this for app for biz or home useage? also, what is the fct of the server (item 2 above)?

What you need is port forwarding/virtual server feature, most ADSL routers have this feature, see your router documentation.
