Simple, you buy a UPS and plug your router into it. My preference always has, and always will be, APC. Their equipment and warranty is superior to anybody elses IMHO.

It matters not how straight the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate;
I am the captain of my soul.

Udagama understand that in a power outage it's not just your house that is out. It can also be the links outside your house that will go down. This makes a ups worthless on a router imo.

I have UPS and the only thing connected to the backup is my monitor & PCs. My ADSL isn't. The most important consideration of a UPS is to save whatever you are working on when the power go out and shut down the system gracefully. Anything beyond that is meaningless.
