I just purchased an Advik LAN card. It came with a software floppy stating R TL8139 C/D 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet Adapter. Unfortunately, I did not check the floppy while purchasing it through the vendor. Can you please help me find the correct software as I am unable to locate it through the internet. Also, if possible, please let me know what to do to install the same. As I checked in the Device Manager, there is no change in the no of items listed out there under Network.

Regards,
Rajiv.

Win98SE will pop-up the found new hardware wizard, if not it is not being recognised.

The generic drivers are here cut&paste:

Windows98 SE does not detect the LAN card. Also, the floppy that I got was completely empty. Have tried downloading the driver as adviced by plainandsimple. However, that file had only sys files. How do I make my PC recognise my LAN card. Device Manager does not have any LAN cards installed. Have tried removing the Advik LAN card from the slot again and inserted it again. Is there any ways you can help.

Regards,
Rajiv.

Click the link toward the end of this message to access the Realtek Support site Drivers Download page. Look for WinXP 64/Win98SE/WinME/Win2K/WinXP Driver (No WHQL support) which is the Realtek 8019 PCI driver with version 6.30 date 21-09-2005

Download links are provided there.
Hope this helps
