Hosting a game server on my pc, i'm looking for a way to turn my internet download bandwidth into upload bandwidth. Or at least a part of it.
I've heard about that possibility but don't remember where.

No way to can do that yourself.
The only way to increase the upload speed is paying for a service. Do you beleive how much does it cost just for the upload part?

Reg DSL (download = 1.5Mbps, upload = 128kbps) cost $29 monthly at yahoo DSL.

T1 (download = 1.5Mbps, upload = 1.5Mbps) costs around $500 - $600 monthly

Those service provider does not like to give people much upload bandwidth so people can convert their machine to SERVER instead of paying them BIG BUG.

Hope this help

DSL usually gives dynamic, comcast cable is usually static(they say dynamic but it doesn't change if you leave on). If you want to run a game server you will but stuck with a maxium of 384kbps upload for under $50 and I think under $100 in most area. You could surf the web and look for different companies that offer different services to find a "cheap" one with a high upload. I have been trying that but live in bum**** Arkansas so I have comcast cable or sbc dsl. ugh If comcast still offers business cable then you might be able to get something higher, it was only $96 in my area. dont remember speed, it was something like 384-786
