Hi,I'm a novice at this, so please bear with me!
I just networked my 2 home computers successfully. My new computer is running win XP home and my old one is running win98se. Can I import all info from my old to my new computer? I want to transfer everything - address book, programs, etc. I have no clue how to get started doing this. Is there a tutorial out there, or is it easy enough for somebody to walk me through it? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Transferring programs is not practical. I would say `not possible' but there is very complicated and impractical ways to do it. But don't even think about it. Programs have to be `installed' on the system that they will be run on.

The first problem with this is what are you trying to import? If it is email and documents then there are methods from using PC Relocator to one I use called Intellimover. None of them will move programs and software, only data files. Do you plan on keeping both systems active and connected? If you are keeping both running do you have 2 copies of all the software that will be running on both of them? If they are networked then moving documents and data can be done manually by sharing the directories and copying from PC to PC. Let us know what you intend to do and then the response can be changed to what you need.
