Your pc shutting down has nothing to do with your router getting a ip address. If it did not get an ip address you would not get on the internet.

you don't mention routine maintenance

run chkdsk /f
run disk cleanup
run defrag
update and run your antivirus/antimalware

You don't see a problem with your pc shutting down????

Sounds like you have a hardware issue. Overheating or nic failure would be my guess. This would also explain your dhcp issue if the nic is going out. Or it can be related to your pc being infected which is why I pointed you to routine maintenance.

I would add that getting the message you do, I would suspect you are infected. Dhcp negociation happens when you boot up and NEVER EVER happens when you are up and running midstream.

yes i would see a problem with my PC shutting down if it happened at any other time, but it only does this when im gaming,as for routine maintenance my PC is clean as i regularly scan my PC every week an do other maintenance when needed.but will look at what your saying and let ya know the out come.
