I am looking to add a second wired router to a wireless router already in the house. I have three other computers I would like to run and not enough wireless adapters for all of them. We have a DSL internet connection, with the main family computer on a wireless network. Currently I have an ethernet cable running from the wireless router upstairs to my personal computer, but I would like to add another desktop and an older laptop to the upstairs network. I am not sure how to disable and/or change the DHCP of the second router to make it compatible with the main router downstairs. Thank you for the assist on this.

set router to factory defaults
read the docs to get routers ip range
set your lan card to that ip range but like .2
connect lan cable between the router and your pc
http to the router ip address should bring up the management interface.
logon and disable dhcp
assign it a static ip in your lans ip range so you can admin it from the network.
