I've been using PCanywhere to dial into and remotely control several computers.
I like VNC much better than PCanywhere, it's cheaper (free) and faster, but I can't figure out how to dial into a remote host like PCanywhere can.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Assuming you have VNC already configured all you need to do is set up a VPN connection. In XP (on the host computer), go to the control panel and then network connections. Click the icon to create a new connection. A wizard will walk you through the steps. You first want to select "setup an advanced connection" and then accept incoming connections". The rest should be self explanatory.
