I was wandering if someone could tell me how to properly daisy chain two lynksys 4 port routers, and a microsoft mn 500 wireless router, that is configured as a wireless access point/switch.

One linksys router is a net everywhere router made by linksys.
The other one is a linksys BEFSR41 ver.2 router.

They are currently configured as a Gateway.

I am trying to share a Direcway Satelite USB Broadband connection that is always "ON".

I have a Host that is setup with ICS. The HOST computer has the Static IP address of the ISP. As well as the DNS servers.

I want to network several desktop computers connected via Cat5 cable and two Laptops via wireless cards.

I had to configure the wireless BASE Station as a Switch for it to work with the HOST/Client configuration I am having to use.

MY QUESTION IS THIS.
Where should the switch be in this daisy chain, in respect to the HOST and the routers/gateways?
Which one should have DHCP enabled and which ones should have DHCP disable?
Should I leave the routers configured as gateways or should I configure them as Routers?
I know that Browsing is better with my ISP if I Proxy my Browser.
How should I set this up with my clients?
Should/could I proxy them as well?

Thanks in advance for your input.

The switch is transparent. It won't conflict anywhere. Place it where it is convenient.

"Which one should have DHCP enabled and which ones should have DHCP disable?"

Easiest thing to do is only enable DHCP on the endpoints which need it. If you want to do this for all routers, simply enable a range of 4-10 unique DHCP addresses for each router. You can also disable all router's DHCP, change their IP address to the same format as the ICS address, and then use them as simple switchs passing the ICS DHCP through.

Refer here.

Do you mean use an HTTP proxy?

Yes. I was speaking of an HTTP Proxy.
Do I need to proxy the Client computers, or just leave it alone and set the clients to auto detect network settings?

Give the clients the address of the ICS machine. From this they will have DNS access and everything else they need.

You don't need a proxy to give out configuration details. It is used to cache, control, redirect, and/or monitor network access.

Yep! Just as I figured. Piece of cake! Thanks to your helpful insights, and reading the manuals throughly.
It went off without a hitch.
Thanks.
