Ok so why not list some or all of them? I get it that you don't seem to like RDC, but to just say "there's other options" without listing some makes little or no sense.

Remote Desktop would be my first recommendation too. I would definately not spend money on software when RDC is built in to Windows and you've already paid for it.

Yep.. Just try built-in Remote Desktop in XP first. Check this enabling Remote Desktop in XP article to help you..

Try a program called TightVNC, it's basically remote desktp but you don't have to log the other computer out

Thanks, I will try the desktop first. By the way, it wasnt enough just to refer to the RDT. The post by picohat saved the day. If I had known how to work with RDT I wouldnt need to post here, right?

I would think, that someone could look for them self's, remote assistance is another, RDP is alright, but it messes with you display setting , etc.. I don't like it, cause it logs the user off, then messes things up .. I would rather use something like Dameware mini remote control, where a service is started then , when it's done, it cleans it self up and removes the service.
