hi
i have nvidia nforce networking connection and also AMD mobile sempron,and i have no wireless network connection icon in my network connection (i just have local area connection)inspite of my computer (pavilion dv6000) support wireless conection.
how can i connect to wireless network? and how can i have its icon?or if i can download its software by anything else that allows me to connect to wireless network?thanks i advance

Have you tried running the Wireless Network Setup Wizard. It probably just needs configuring.
Windows XP has all the notwork software you need built in. No need to download anything.

Might you have a wireless switch on your computer? If so, you'll need to put that in the "on" position.

Take a look on this Big Problems with Wireless in HP Pavilion Notebooks article, seems there is hardware problem on this HP Pavilion notebook, not too sure whether it's fixed completely... Advise you to call HP support and get them to fix the problem if it's still under warranty.
