The Goal we are trying to achive is creating trust between two pdc so that they can share each other's resources.
There are two different networks not connected to each other. One is running NT and another 2000.
Since both networks are in same building, I thought of running cable from NT network hub to 2000 network hub before creating trust relationship.
After pluging cable into 2000 network hub/switch, tried to ping IP of NT pdc, but it doesnt ping.
Can you suggest me how do I join these two networks the simplest way?
2000 pdc has IP 192.168.1.3 and NT pdc has IP 192.168.32.2. Is that going to create problem?
In short how to connect these two networks. I am tired of trying different options and gave up at last.

You will need a router, i'm assuming that you are using a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 this means that these pc's will never be able to communicate with each other without some form of routing in place.
an alternative is to change the mask to 255.255.0.0 and set a domain trust (active directory domains & trusts on the W2k box & user manager for domains on the NT box)

Hi,
If you change your subnet mask like pual said, make sure you don't have duplicate IP on these two network.
If you don't change the mask. Install an extra NIC on the NT server and nn extra NIC on the win2000 server, enable routing on bohter server, assign new IPs to the 2 nics different to the other 2 subnet, but these 2 new NiC will be on the same new subnet.
for example Nic1 10.0.0.1/24 Nic2 10.0.0.2/24
connect the 2 NIC with a crossover cable or get a new hub to connect the 2 new NICs on the server.
Setup a trust between the 2 domain.good luck

changing subnets is a bit drastic, instead use static routes.
ie. route add 192.168.1.0 mask 255.255.255.0 192.168.32.2
you will need to physically connect the two network hubs as you said you have done. You need to do the same route add on the other machine as well but swap trhe numbers round.
