hi,

i am new to VPN technology.
what i want to know is that is there an way to connect to remote pcs.
e.g. my pc and my frnds pc at his home.
i know how can i connect to my work pc but what about a pc at my frnbds place.

or is thr nethin else i can do to share files between these 2 pcs.

If your friend has a SOHO router that's capable of port forwarding, you first google for the "Remote Desktop port" and then forward that port on his SOHO router to the internal (private IP) of his PC that you wish to connect to. Then, you have him look up his IP on www.whatsmyip.org and after he tells you what it is, you open RDC, type in that IP (his external IP) and click "Connect".

Once you've hit his SOHO router, the port forward kicks in and sends you to his PC. NOTE: you will need an account on the target PC so you can authenticate and login.

is thr ne other way to connect to my frnds pc without ne router.
wat i mean by this is if i have one pc connect to internet thru a DSL modem.
and another pc in a different location with another DSL connection.
is thr a way to remote desktop them.
