How to connect HP photosmart C6300 printer to

Specs: Windows XP
I have a HP Photosmart C6300 printer connected wirelessly to my laptop. I recently aquired wireless internet service. Am unable to print directly from web sites. only after I am off internet will print.

Contacted HP and they want to charge 20.00 to tell me how to fix the problem, since my printer is out of warranty! I just want to be able to use the product I purchased from them.

Any Help is appreciated. I am not very tech savy.

$20 bucks seems pretty cheap to have someone stay on the phone with you as they walk you thru getting your ip address when connecting wirelessly so you can then update the ip address in the wireless printer to be in the same subnet.

Now if you understood what I just wrote you could do it yourself.

Answers are only as good as the information you provide.

I have this very same issue! normally, if I just delete the printer and let my laptop search for a printer, I can print again.

Every so often though, I have to delete it and add it again.. such a hassle!

Is your printer connected to the router thru a cable, or do you have it running on a wireless printer server? I have my HP PhotoSmart 2575 plugged into one of the LAN ports on my router so that it picks up its own IP address, and I have no problem printing wirelessly from my desktop or laptop at all.
