R1=Linksys cable/dsl(befsr41) 4 ports R2=SMC Barricade dsl with print server (smc7004abr) 4 ports ======================================= I like to connect R2 to R1 as to use R2's print server for all computers (486sx to p3). R1 is connected to the net via adsl external modem. R1 default address is 192.168.1.1 whereas R2 is 192.168.2.1
Each router works if used as stand-alone, connecting to the net and local network. I like to network the computers in R1 with those in R2, plus giving internet access for all and ability to print without using network printer (ie making the printer available without turning on the pc attached to it)

Thanks, Brian
No, I only have 1 dsl line.
Anyway, I managed to get R2 print server working by giving 192.168.1.2 ip address. I disabled R2 dhcp server after a few trials and errors as the pc connected to R2 couldn't access the net but able to see others on the neighbourhood. I also am pleased to see the printer working from pcs listed on R1 dhcp server (192.168.1.1)
Well, back to my original message, I was wondering how to connect R1 (as 192.168.1.1) to R2 (as 192.168.2.1) with dhcp servers enabled to access the net through R1. Would it be able to print on R2 print server from R1 clients?
