How do I connect my computer and my brother's computer together so that we can play 'LAN' game together without having to go to the internet.

My game (Crysis and many others) have this feather call 'multiplayer' In there, there 2 options
... 1) battle.net (this requires internet connection and it's laggy)
... 2) Local Area Network (I'm very sure this does not require internet connection)
... We're trying to use the second option
...I need a LAN to play game! How Do i Do That?

I wish to have some kind of direct connection between the 2 computers. (Do people call it 'LAN' ? ,Am I wrong?) >.<

We both are have access to the wireless internet. We're using same internet router
(I'm not computer geek)

Help me out ,ppl ...Many thanks

If you're on the same router then you're already in a LAN (Local Area Network).

Decide who's going to host the LAN game. Open a command prompt window on that PC and type the following command:

ipconfig /all

Make note of the IP address. Then start the game in LAN host mode. Then on the other PC, start your game and connect to the IP of the 'host' PC.
