hi i am trying to connect two computer with each other both have window server 2003 installed (a laptop & a desktop pc)

Question? 1.Can i connect two computer directly without using any intermediate making one server and other its client
2.I want both computers to communicate with each other only e.g play games, file sharing,share internet etc What should i do first? Any article or guide will be helpfull?

1) Yes, you can, but when you're connecting like devices (ie: PC to PC, laptop to PC, switch to switch, router to router) you want to use a crossover cable.
2) Google "world of windows networking" and click on the first link to come up and do some reading and research.
