Can anyone tell me what is the formula for calculating data transfer rate for a 32-bit microprocessor with a 32-bit external bus driven by a 1GHz input clock with a bus cycle of 6 input clock cycles.

sounds like a home work question to me.
The answer is to break the problem down into simple steps and do a little multiplication and division.

Sounds like a homework question to me, too.
Are you talking internal media transfer rate? Data transfer rate between a hdd and a virtual device? Download transfer rate? Are you talking about sustained transfer rate? Peak transfer rate? You're not being very specific.
