Yes. Go buy your own network. Set up your own firewall and play games on your own computer.

Those devices are in place for a reason and if any schmuk with a link to computer chat board could bypass them then they wouldn't be much good would they?

I'm an administrator and the reason most of those things have to exist is because people like you want to do the things you do at home, on work/school computers.

So no. You can't bypass them - and that is a good thing.

Yay glenn.

Hey kilua::look at httptunnel and make
sure to brag to all your friends about how
you are once again wasting the k12 bandwidth
with your selfish ,insecure, and wasteful
pasttimes.
I hope you are ashamed of yourself.

I'm with u Kilua. Http-tunnel works really, well but u need to subscribe to a high bandwidth service if it's gonna be effective.

And to the administrators who think they're really cool for being administrators - well done u stupid pricks, how do u think hackers manage to get passed firewalls? Coz there's always a solution u idiots. When there's a will, there's a way. I take it you're saying that at school people aren't allowed any recreational time in which to do their own thing besides work? What I suggest is that u go home and think about your sad depressed lives... who am I to criticise you? Fair point. I'm just speaking for the masses I suppose. No one likes you... that's something to think about, right?

wonderful reply Glen, lets continue to teach our kids that censorship is a good thing. It's sad that we can't trust our students and give them the responsibility to choose what sites are appropriate for them to see and what's not. Instead, we will choose for them, because we know what's best for them don't we. Kilua, I am doing some research for you, if I find an answer about your firewall question, I will let you know. I'm sure you are responsible enough to use the information wisely !!

Yes, there's no such thing called a hack-proof system.

And thanks to people like "hate administrator" who enjoys abusing his employer's internet bandwidth by downloading MP3 songs, visiting porno sites, engage in peer-to-peer file sharing etc... Not to mention exposing the company network to virus and trojan, and exposing his own privacy (ever wonder how you get all those spam mails???)

Thanks to you, we network and security administrators have something to do and gets to keep our jobs! Thank you!
