For Internet Explorer, you simply have to go to the Control Panel / Network and Internet Connections / Internet Options / Connections / LAN settings.
Untick Automatically detect settings and Use automatic configuration script.
Activate "Use a proxy server for your LAN ..."
Click the Advanced button and put in the ip address and port of the proxy server, you'd like to use, for HTTP, Secure and FTP. Then click OK, til all dialog boxes are closed.
Start IE and surf the internet.
