Hi ,
just wanted to know how safe really is wirless networking ?,i have 2 computers sharing my internet connection (wired) and want to add a laptop to the connection through wireless networking,
Im thinking of getting a belkin Pre-N router any 1 got 1 and if so how good is it and whats it like for security??

Very safe if properly configured.
Don't get Belkin. Any brand but Belkin. Linksys and Netgear are recommended.

Depends on the configuration.
Most SOHO wireless routers however are NOT very secure. If their only encryption scheme is WEP, it's not going to keep you safe from any hacker that has an ounce of skill. The latest hacker tools can break 128-bit WEP keys in minutes. Look for something with WPA.

hi , thanks for all the replys ,So you dont think belkin is a good make ? the only reason i wanted the belkin pre-n router is beacuse it apparently has 800% more coverage than the usual 802.11g wireless devices.
Only want something that is good around the house ..
