so our home network is set up with an Actiontec GT701 DSL modem (no wireless) which connects to a Belkin 7230 (router a). this is then wirelessly bridged to another 7230 (router b), and my laptop and my brother's desktop connect wirelessly to the second router. the internet connection isn't horribly slow and everything works fine.
my problem is that streaming video or files from the desktop to my laptop is really slow. so we tried adding another belkin 7230 (router c) to router b. we connected to router c and it all worked exactly as we hoped, we could still access the internet, video was fast, but now we can't open a port for utorrent. what should we do? are these really dynamic connections? should they be? dad says we can't move the modem and we need to leave the firewall on, but otherwise we can change things as we need.
