okay so my router was working fine, but the network want secure. as i ran the disk to connect the router to the computer, it could not detect the router, and now nothing is connecting to the thing. all the appropriate lights are blinking, but my other compuer (that is wired to the router) can't connect, n niethier can my wireless connecting xbox or laptop

Looks like you have a Linksys router. Can you get into it from an internet browser?
To do so, open a browser and type in 192.168.1.1
You will probably have to put in a password to be able to login to your router.

Please sit back and relax while Windows 98 installs on your computer.
