How do I share files and pritnters?

Hello every1!! OK...I have a router and a DSL modem, and 4 PC's...I got 2 with Windows XP (1 of them with a wireless connection and SP1), 1 with Windows 2k and other with Windows Me...how do I share files and a printer with them?? Sometimes my dad is in the WinMe PC and he wants 2 print something...but the printer is on the PC I am on!! :( so he can't print it!! also, each time I want 2 share files between them I have 2 use MSN Messenger!! :( so I REALLY need 2 do this!! some1 help me plz?? :D Thanx! ;)

Whichever computer has the printer physically installed, set it up for shared printing. Should be able to go into the control panel followed by printers. Select the printer you want and right click to set up for sharing. To shae files, set up a "shared" folder and do the same (right click and allow it to be shared). Never allow to share the whole computer in case someone hacks in from the internet. HPT.
When all else fails beat the $%!* out of it!!!

Well...I already have a Shared Documents folder in My Computer, and my printer is already shared...and it still doesn't work!! :( Do I need 2 allow ports in my firewall or do something like that?? My DSL modem is a modem and a router, my router is router and firewall, and 2 of the PC's have different firewalls (Norton and Sygate)...:D Thanx!! ;)
