I am connected to a network at a state university. I believe that there is a firewall because most peer to peer programs dont work. What i really want to do is connect my Xbox to the network so that i can play online. I bought a 5 port 10Mb/100Mb Hub but i also need to open some ports (According to the GameSpy site). I have absolutely no idea how to accomplish this in windows 98 and cannot find anything on the internet to help. If anyone has the answer, PLEASE contact me via e-mail with some help. THANK YOU! The port that need to be opened are in the firewall/router that the university runs to keep junk off of their network. If you can find the administrator you might try and ask.

There is no point in trying to opening ports in Windows 98 (if that were possible). If the firewall is blocking ports then I guess there is nothing that you can do about that.
