You can but you need a Network Server OS like Windows 2000 Server or Windows 2003 in the server and a Network Interface Card with a boot ROM in in the client machine. Windows 2003 costs over £400 in the UK so your are talking in access of $500 in the US.

There are lots of free alternatives to Windows for network booting. This one is pretty cool.

El-Trucha, I think you're expecting this to be easier than it is. Network booting isn't necessarily difficult, but neither is it as simple as downloading an iso.

Have a look at the LTSP quick-install guide for an overview of what's involved. Also be aware that LTSP isn't the only network-boot solution out there. There are many ways to network boot, and many applications for doing so.

You might be better off asking yourself why you want to do this. Once you know what you are trying to accomplish, it will be easier to pick the appropriate tools. If all you want to do is experiment with network booting, I would still recommend LTSP as being a free and relatively simple means of doing so.
