How about you provide some details? What kind of internet connection is it? Dialup? ADSL? CABLE? Satellite? 3G?
Are you connected by cable or wirelessly? Is the connection shared with others?

IMHO those download accelerators are hogwash. Your speed is determined by a number of factors.
Firstly what are you paying for? What does the ISP say is their standard? After that speed depends on the other system/situational factors and no amount of software will alter your results.

"I have Internet service from Cox starter edition"

Sounds like the low end budget package. What upload & download speeds are you supposed to be getting? What speeds are you actually getting? And I agree with Richard59, downloader accelerator programs are a waste of time.

MOHAGIAN should read response #3 again nd provide some answers.

The download accelerator only work with web browsing by creating an illusion of increased speed. All they do is cache frequently visited web sites and will download other pages off the same site on the off chance you might need them.

If you are on a capped service, that is one with a monthly limit of data transfer, it can play havoc with the numbers as you will be downloading stuff you may never need.

IN short they are a waste of space.

There is only one way to increase network bandwidth and that is to get a higher bandwidth package from your provider.

Contrary to what those who don't know any better software package or OS tweaks can improve bandwidth.

It matters not how straight the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate;
I am the captain of my soul.

Hey,just follow some tips to make your speed up
-->Configure your browser so it won't display graphics, animations, sound, video or other multimedia content (see "How to Turn Off Sounds, Pictures or Video on Web Pages").
-->Surf when Internet traffic is low. Heaviest traffic is usually on weekends and evenings.
-->Use your cache effectively. "Cache" refers to storage space where your recently visited Web sites are saved. You may need to resize your cache allotment, or you may need to purge your cache periodically. Look through your browser's menus for items named Cache, Temporary Internet files and so on.
-->Upgrade your modem.
-->Consult with your Internet service provider to ensure that your modem is configured correctly.
-->Replace your telephone modem with a fast-access connection such as wave, ISDN, DSL, satellite, a cable modem.
and now check your connection speed here Ip-Details
even then your connection speed didnt get speed up then you better contact your service provider..

Your speed test is crap. It reports my speed 356 kbs when it should be 15 Mbps. This is what happens when you try to run a web site on an ADSL connection. The upload speed is only a small fraction of the download speed.

Try this and you will see the difference
