how do I enable dhcp in dos?

December 30, 2010 at 06:07:15
Specs: Windows xp
I can't get online with a wireless connection with my wifes laptop. The message"acquiring network address" keeps coming up. I noticed that dhcp is enabled in tcp/ip but not in dos( ipconfig). Is this my problem and how do I fix it?. Thanks

Go to the properties or the network card, choose the TCP/IP protocol and choose properties again. Change the settings in there, to get configured automatically via DHCP.
