I just bought a new HP Pavilion desktop. Question is when I disconnect my old desktop from my router and modem do I simply plug in the new computer to the router and modem and it will work or do I need to go through a set up process? Last time we had a computer hook up the desktop to our router/modem and then set up our kids laptops for wireless but am hoping I'll be able to figure it out?
If you are connecting with the Ethernet cable then, yes, just plug it in and it will work
