I urgently need help on how to connect about 20 IP Cameras sccatered about 1km apart within a residential estate. I need to power the PoE switches at each camera location without cables and all cameras pictures/events must be monitored in a control room though a wireless network.

Please how do i achieve this. The Customers says, NO CABLES.

Consult with a wireless radio specialist. The distance you specified is impossible/illegal with consumer equipment. You'll need a special license from the FCC (or equivalent government agency in other countries) and very expensive equipment.

Well, as far as I know you don't need anything special from any government agency here in Canada. I have at least one wireless point-to-point shot that's over 1 km. I'd still check though.

We are using Motorola equipment for our long p-t-p wireless shots. They're older now but the model we're using are the PTP600. My 1km+ link right now is running around 226 Mbps.

As for PoE at each location, you will probably want to use a PoE capable switch or PoE Injectors. If you have multiple PoE devices, they make rack mount PoE injectors for multiple devices.

You will need cabling to interconnect the antenna's and switches which will in turn feed the cameras. You can't do PoE wirelessly.

I am the captain of my soul.
