I have two analog modems with independent phone lines and internet accounts. Is it possible to combine the speed of these two modems (2 x 56K = 112)??? OR how do I split the the internet access connection of the two modems (modem 1 will be upstreem and modem 2 will access downstreem)????????

no, it is impossible to combine speed of 2 modems. You may split connection between 2 browsers. Create 2 dial-up connections in dial-up networking using different modem for each one. And configure each of your browser for each modem.

Yes its possible to do that with win2k. It can establish MPP (Multilink ppp) connection to your ISP. But the down/upstream is not splited. The two modems MUST connect the same account.
