Other than removing the router from the loop and plugging your highspeed directly into your PC I can't see how to get around it since your router is likely getting it's IP address from your ISP's DHCP server. Also, "getting around it" won't speed your connection up at all since your highspeed is at best 1 Mbps and your router is at the very least 10 Mbps.
