How can I ping myself?

How can I ping myself in internet? I got a dynamic IP address via ipconif, but others in internet can not ping me. My OS is W2K SP4.( the firewall closed , and have no set the IP policy).Is it problem of SP4?

The problem could be your ISP. Some block pings. If it were me, I'd start by calling their support line.

Thank you, Curt R. I had never realized this problem caused by ISP ,before you replied.It's sure,I did a experiment to proof what you said , it's not caused by OS or SP4.
