How can I make my network printer show up?

January 15, 2011 at 15:03:57
Specs: Windows 7

I have an HP3505 working fine on my home network, accessible from several machines on Vista and Windows 7. But it won't show up on the network map (on any of the machines), even though my other devices (such as network drives, etc.) do. Maybe it doesn't matter, since it works, but how do I get it to show up?

Is it a true network printer with an IP address? A shared printer on a USB port is not a network printer. Either way, leave it alone, if it's working.

Guapo, thanks. It's a true network printer with an IP connection on the same hub as my network drives.

Leave it alone as long as it's working.
