hi, weneever i boot up my desktop win2k pro, it searches for my laptop whose shared drive has been mapped on the desktop.
problem is, the laptop is not always connected to the router (home LAN), thus wen the desktop booted up, it says cant find the network drive and there's an option to "do not search/logon at next start up" (or something similiar, i dont remember the exact wordings).. wen this happends, the desktop is stopped until someone go click OK..
so my qn is, is it possible to make win2k (desktop) to continue bootup properly even wehn it cant re-map the network drive?
i wld like to keep the option "remap at every logon"..
any thots appreciated.
thanks.

Set two different hardware profiles in the control panel, one for when you are "docked" and one for when you are "undocked".
