Hi,
I recently bought an Acer 5920 Notebook which supports Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG connectivity. I want to share ADSL internet in between my existing PC and the notebook, I came to know from this forum a Wireless ROUTER is enough. Now my question is Should I need to keep on ONE PC allways to stay connected with internet?
which Wireless router is better in between Linksys WRH54G and Netgear WGR614

Actually if you are happy to keep the main PC on all the time you do not need a Wireless Router, a WiFi Card or WiFi USB Adaptor in the main PC:

Though if using a WiFi enabled router makes each device independent so they do not need to be left on....

It only makes sense to get a wireless router. You don't have to leave a pc on at all times you want access and it allows you to share added devices like network printers, xbox etc.
Only people that can't afford a wireless router or have placement issue run internet thru a pc.
Imagine the power of knowing how to internet search

You do not need to keep on ONE PC allways to stay connected with internet unless you set it up with Internet connection sharing (ICS). Since you are going to get wireless router, you don't need to configure ICS.
In case you have problem to bring up your wireless network, then you can check on this wireless network setup tutorial to help you.
As for wireless router, advise you to get Linksys WRT54G with its reasonable price and this is a good entry level wireless router.
