I picked up a used switch, I want to hook it to my Linksys router because I need more than 4 wired connections. I understand how you would normally do it but the Switch I picked up has no "in" port just 16 labeled 1-16. I would guess you just hook it to any port probably #1. Is this correct and will I need a crossover cable? here is a link http://www.hawkingtech.com/products... but they have no online owners manual

Kawking Model PN636ES

Thanks,
Brad

The Linksys router has auto sensing and auto negotiate. So the Linksys will switch the port automatically, if it needs to be crossover.

Please send a reply, if you solved the problem !!!
