I don't know if this belongs in the Win 7 forum
or here. I am having issues connecting to my
homegroup. I have just set up 2 computers,
running Windows 7 ultimate. The parent
computer (with the hardwire to the router) is
running RC 7100. The PC trying to "join" the
homegroup is running the retail version. I have
the homegroup set up on the parent. I can
connect to the internet on the second PC, and
can see the homegroup. But, when I attempt
to join, I just get the error: "HomeGroup
encountered an error." I have been through the troubleshooting completely on both PC's to no
avail. I have a D-Link DIR-628 router and a
Belkin N-Wireless USB adapter. Any
suggestions on what to do next?
