Hey everyone,

I was wondering if there are any good tutorial websites out there that teaches you how to setup a small, yet advanced home network with Windows 2000 as the main server/domain.

Here's what I'm inclined to do:

1) Run a Windows 2000 Advanced Server which allows people to login from the network, which also keeps track of a list of users/accounts and what not.

2) File/Sharing enabled for all the computers connected to my home network (they may be Windows XP, 98, etc.)

What I do NOT want:

1) for the Win2k Advanced Server to act as the router/proxy -- every home connection is capable of DHCP its own IP from my ADSL provider. However, I want my computers to communicate not based on TCP/IP protocol because somehow it slows down their rate of communication (I believe communcation between some of my home computers go through the ADSL router at my ISP's place, therefore putting a 'cap' on my own home network transfer).

I'm not sure if this is understandable... I can clarify if necessary. Cheers.
