I get the following error message when trying to connect to my PC in my Home Network "Jeremy not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network
resource. Contact the administrator of this service to find out if you have
access Permissions. Access denied" This problem started when I upgraded from XP sp1. I have been through all of the network configurations (to many to list). If anyone can help me, that will be great.

Will try to help but need to know your current configuration to understand the problem , make a diagnosis and suggest troubleshoot. For the answer to be useful to you and anyone else looking for an answer, we need to really know the cause.

Home network involves two or more Computers (Ex: desktop/Laptop) using same or different OS ( WinXP/Win9X/Mac)and networking devices (EX:NICS/Hubs/Switches/Routers), Cables (EX:Ethernet Straight-through or Cross-Over /USB/ Parallel) and Software (EX:WinXP Network Setup wizard).
If you add Internet Access also to the mix (which is often the case and reason for networking)we need to know additional information about the type of ISP (Ex:Dial-Up/DSL/Cable), and devices (Ex:DialUp Modem /Cable Modem/Dsl Modem used)
Finally one must also know the Security software such as Firewall (Ex:WinXP/Third party) and Antivirus Program used in the networked PCs.

Post details so that we can at least see what is the most likely cause for your problem.

All PCs have XP SP1 except the one that I can not connect to and that has XP SP2. I have a Linksys Router with DSL. I use the
Eacceleration Stop-Sign Anti Virus on all PCs. Use Win XP Firewall. All use the Internet. All of my PCs can connect to each other except with the one with SP2. When this PC was running SP1 I had no problem. Should have stuck with SP1.

Since you are able to connect to the Internet from all the PCs via your Linksys router and DSL modem and the problem is only with accessing to and from the One Computer with WinXP-SP2, I guess the problem is coming from the Firewall.

Try disabling the Windows XP Firewall ( for the sake of troubleshoot) and see if you can connect.
Post back with your result.
