Well, there are several ways, depending on what operating systems you are running, XP has built in ICS (internet connection sharing) Personally, I would recommend switching that hub to a router, making things much MUCH easier for you. But you can run proxy server software and share your connection that way. There are a few freeware titles available on the internet, or you can buy WinProxy which worked okay for me until I decided to go with a router. Proxy servers are not too difficult to set
up for your basic email and web surfing purposes, things get a bit more complicated when you decide you want to use other programs across the software proxy such as ICQ, IRC, and multiplayer games.

What OS are you running? I would use a (layer 3 device )router then a proxy server.

Remember when you using one IP address among many computer or a few, that those PC’s are not directly connected to the Internet, your NT server is using a thing call Port Address Translation or Network Address Tran as some people like calling it. To answer your question not really, you need to be directly connected to the Internet, and you need to be careful, ask your ISP if they will open TCP 80 for you , some ISP close these ports so people can’t host web pages using there DSL/Cable lines

thanks for the info, but i couldnt tell by your answer : would it be possible to (this may seem really stupid, or even overkill)
hook my dsl modem to the uplink portion of my hub, from there have a cat5 cable going into a router and assign one IP to that router(is that possible) and from the router go to the uplink of another hub and from there go to the other computers that i want to access the net.

then using the open ports on the first hub use that to connect to another computer and assign it to the remaining IPs and use that for web hosting? is this possible or am i just plain retarded?

NO, It won't work. You have to setup routing in some way and a hub is not a router...I think your using DHCP from your ISP right, so you just can't use any IP Address you want.
