I just set up a netowrk recently between 2 computers using the XP netowrk setup wizard. I managed to connect them and get internet connection sharing working but i cant seem to get file sharing to work. when i ask the host computer to display the workgroup, it pops up with a dialog saying: "MSHOME is not accessible. You might not have permission to use the network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.
The list of servers for this workgroup is currently not available."

what do i do?? - ive ensured both computers have identical workgroups specified, they both have file sharing and all other services enabled. The host computers running pro and the second, home XP.

Setup user accounts on XP Pro computer for both the computers
Login to XP Home with the user account you setup for that computer and login to XP Pro with the user account you setup for that computer
This will make you valid users on your workgroup, make sure you allow your two users have access to your shares
