I have a same wired network at my house between two computers. One is running Windows XP pro and the other has windows xp home. Now the problem is that while the pro computer can access the network shares of the home, the home computer can not access the shares of the pro computer at all. They can ping there own ip address and names and the name and address of the other. I can also still play games on the network but I really want my shares working. Here: http://kendall14.fileave.com/error.jpg is a picture that shows the error. any suggestion?
Everyone does have access(used cacls): "E:\jimmy's music Everyone:(OI)(CI)C Everyone:(OI)(CI)F" I also have about 4 shared folders on the network so I doubt that is the issue. I can't get to the pro computers shared things at all on the home computer (including printers).
Right click my computer and select properties. Select computer name tab, click change button and rename both pc's to the same workgroup name. Also make sure both pc's have a user name with a password enabled.

How are you trying to access the shares on the Pro machine? Have you enabled Simple File Sharing on the XP Pro machine? Do you have one identical account on both machines?
I got simple file sharing on and I tried to add an identical account but that didn't work. What do you mean how am I tring to access them? Do you mean Start->My network places (not there)->veiw workgroup computers->click on the pro computer and I get that warning again.
I did try disabling simple file sharing and it did work on the identical account but I don't want that. I want to to be able to access from any account on the network.
