can any one tell me if i can hide
my ssid or disable wireless network

That depends on your router.

Most newer ones do have the functionality to hide SSID and / or disable the wireless broadcast.

If you have a wireless device that accesses the network it would be a pain to go into the router config every time you want to use the wireless.

Hiding the SSID is an added security measure but is by no means foolproof.

You can also look at things such as MAC address filtering and wireless encryption to batten down the hatches.
