HELP_new server-can't expand

Hi, hope some one has some thoughts. I just installed an new server on a win 2k network. We are setup as root with to child domains. The server is in the correct child. I can see it in network places, but can't expand or open the server. Thanks, Jbead

FYI: found answer another location: when you have a root and child domain in the tcp/ip settings make sure that the child domain name is entered into the dns settings or the network isn't sure where it sits.
