Son has a new laptop with vista and built in wireless bluethooth. Bought a new HP officejet pro all in one L7780 that has built in wireless bluetooth. How do I set up printing for the laptop? I saw on the printers control panel where the wireless set up wizard is and it searches and gives me choices.
1-Linskys
2-1ZNY2
3-313A8
4-enter new network name (SSID)I have no clue if I am even supposed to use something from the printer control panel there or if I just have to do something on the laptop or what so would appreciate some help. Mary

Never mind. Found out that since I have the desktop with XP hooked to the printer we can't do it unless we get a $99 print server and it's not that important. Tech told me that vista and XP don't communicate well and that's why we can't do it, I didn't realize this. I guess I thought since we spent all this money on these things I wouldn't need anything extra to do this but I should have known better. Mary!

Well I guess the techs didn't know what they were talking about because I got it working. It didn't make sense to me that two items with the built in wireless bluetooth would need an extra $99 part but I don't know a lot about these things.
I went on the laptop and went under printers and where it said add pritners it came up about add a bluetooth device or something. Either I missed that yesterday or it wasn't there. It searched and found and officejet model that was not the exact one but I clicked next and you could either pick the make and model from the list or click have disk. I didn't feel like finding where I put the disk so picked the next closest model and it found the drivers and printed a test page and the test page said everything was hooked up right and the desktop still prints fine so I must have done something right. Mary
