hi!
maybe a no-problem for you: i added a second server to my domain - but now only admin can login to the second server. all other users are denied. the disk accepted the share for "domain users", but when they logon to the new server - denied. interes- ting also that when I want to "import" the users into AD of the second server, W2K says "domain could not be contacted".... strange....it must be something in DNS ?

Did you set up the second server as a BDC or a PDC, and is the first server set up to recognize the BDC? Otherwise, the second server must use a different domain and the users must choose, at login, which domain to log into.

in w2k no bdc/pcd... check subnets...check dynamic dns lookup to make sure that there are proper domain controller records for the domain...may need to use dcpromo.exe to take the 2nd server out, and then reinstall it into the domain and make sure you point it to the original dns server HINT: before installing 2nd machine into domain, make sure you can ping the original domain by it's name...this will prove that the dns lookup is functioning properly...
