hi there, We have a problem in our network environment. Sometimes i couldn't see some of the hosts in the network. Hosts are connected using hub to switch and the length of the cable is 60 metre. The switch is connected in ground floor where the hub is in the second. Someone told me to get the repetitor to solve this problem but i'm not sure of that or rather we connect switch to switch to solve this matter? By the way i want to know how the repetitor will help to boost the network performance. Pls help me.. thanks

You don't need repeater for 60Metres. When you start a computer or server, it may take few minutes to see it in the hosts list. If the TCP/IP protocol is installed, you can ping other workstation to make sure network link is good.
